Dear Farm Friends,
We have participated in Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) for most of our farming career. A farm share is a unique collaboration between the land, the farmer and community members. Members purchase a “farm share” in return for a portion of the harvest throughout the season. . You can purchase online or mail in payment using our Farm Share Pledge.
The Summer farm share will be during the main season, June thru September. You may chose a weekly or biweekly share. The on-farm pickup day will be on Wednesdays. You will find all the favorites, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, sweet corn and staples like carrots, potatoes, and garlic. Plus we will add leafy greens to the shares too! See a sampling of crops and availability here. A weekly share feeds a family of 4+ or a couple eating mainly a vegetarian diet. The biweekly share is the same size as a weekly share just picked up every other week.
Our concept for the fall /winter share is to return to our roots; to use traditional ways to store food for the winter. We grow different varieties of the same root crops (potatoes, sweet potatoes, winter squash, beets, carrots, etc) to have diversity throughout the season. We will also have fresh lettuce, spinach, kale, arugula and more from unheated hoops and the fields. We will begin in October, once a month thru January. See a sampling of crops and availability here. We will provide an email each pickup with details about your farm share.
We are excited about providing you a choice on where to spend your food dollars. Everything in your share will be grown at our farm and is certified organic by OEFFA and the USDA. Our commitment to planning ahead should reduce the risks for you and the farm. We hope you will enjoy eating more with the seasons. That Guy's Family Farm's share offers passionate and informed foodies the opportunity to purchase direct from the farm to obtain the highest quality organic food year round.
In the spirit of collaboration, we want to have the Farm Share pickup at the farm. We want to encourage local community members to join our food revolution. This has always proved to be a rewarding way for us to connect and enjoy our customers. This also becomes a way to support your local economy, the sustainability of our area, and for you to receive delicious, organic vegetables this season.
